 Rileys in Poker DealRileys, the UK's largest pool and snooker club operator, has appointed Redtooth to run it's poker setup.
Redtooth will relaunch Rileys' Ace of Clubs Tournament and run the Redtooth Poker League in over 50 clubs nationwide. Live poker is a popular attraction at Rileys clubs with over 3,000 members playing weekly. Rileys Chief Executive Maurice Kelly siad: "Redtooth have a proven record of bringing poker players into pubs across the UK. Poker is already very successful in our clubs. We hope the introduction of Redtooth will develop our poker offering."
Redtooth Director Steve Saul said: "We are delighted to be working with Rileys. Redtooth are pleased that another top leisure operator has joined our long list of clients."
Riley's commercial agreement with Redtooth comes into effect this September.

 Big Time Joins Redtooth!Big Time Poker League, the UK’s fastest growing pub poker league have recently become Redtooth’s fourth acquisition of the year.
Since the beginning of 2009 Big Time Poker have gone about their business signing up over 150 pubs surpassing more established pub poker companies and making it a major player in the pub poker business.
In the week leading up to their first quarterly final Redtooth brokered a deal to add Big Time Poker to its ever growing portfolio of pubs.
All the Big Time Poker League qualifiers and their guests arrived at the Grosvenor in Wallsall on Saturday 25th July to be welcomed by Redtooth representatives. The £10,000 prize money had been secured along with attractive trophies for each of the players on the final table.

 The Great British Pub AwardsOn September the 18th the winners to the Great British Pub Awards 2008 were revealed at a glittering awards ceremony on London’s Hilton on Park Lane. Guests were treated to a three course meal and were entertained by TV’s Hugh Dennis of Mock the Week fame.
Redtooth were sponsors of the 'Managed Pub of the Year' Award - this year won by The Churchill Arms in London.
The awards culminated in the Compasses at Pattiswick being crowned with the ultimate award of Great British Pub of the Year. Guests partied until 2am and played at the Redtooth Casino Tables.

 The Independent has BITE!Redtooth Bite, our brand new interactive puzzle sheet aimed at family orientated pubs was launched last Sunday in the family puzzle supplement in The Independent newspaper.
Redtooth Bite is an A3 folded full colour activity sheet featuring games interactive puzzles and quirky facts and will be available from April at a cost of £10 per fortnight for 50 copies.
Redtooth Director Steve Saul commented, "The huge growth in the pub industry over the last few years has been in the family dining sector. We believe that there is a gap in the market for pubs catering for family for that period between an order being placed and the food arriving. Redtooth Bite will keep families entertained during that time."
Redtooth Bite is one of three new products Redtooth are introducing over the next few weeks. Pop Master, an audio CD product and Dirty Dozen, a quiz aimed at busier evenings will also be available in the very near future.

 The UK Pub Poker Champion!Mark Titterton from the Orchid Group’s Fox and Hounds in Carshalton emerged as the UK Pub Poker ChampionTM. Mark was the last man standing out of 248 runners at Europe’s premier poker venue, Dusk Till Dawn in Nottingham in the national final of the Redtooth Poker League. Former ‘EastEnders’ star and poker enthusiast Michael Greco presented the champion with a trophy, a bottle of champagne and a cheque for £1,000. Former England cricketer and ‘I’m A Celebrity’ winner Phil Tufnell was also on hand to meet and greet all the players at the event.
Greene King were well represented at the final table with Adrian Vaughan from the Rose and Crown, Hereford was runner-up winning £300, third place Tim Palmer from the Hatherley in Cheltenham taking away £200 and Billy Jones from the Maggies in Birmingham receiving £100. Tracy Clark from the Wackum Inn in Bristol was the highest placed lady finishing in eighth place and she received a case of wine from Carlsberg. Damian Goodwin from Punch Taverns commented, "What a fantastic day! Well organised, great atmosphere, and a tremendous venue. I spoke to a lot of players and spectators all of whom told me what a great time they were having, even the people who went out early. The whole feel is what pub poker is about, great fun in a friendly atmosphere. Congratulations on a superb event".

Following meetings with the Gambling Commission, we are delighted to announce a new and improved prize structure for the current season.  Jeremy BeadleIt is with deep regret that we learned today of the untimely death of Jeremy Beadle. Jeremy was a well liked and much respected member of the Redtooth team during 2006 and 2007. His friendship and support will be greatly missed.
In spite of the fact that he was a major TV star and celebrity, Jeremy was a very down to earth man, who was equally at home in the boardroom and the lounge of the pub. He was immensely enthusiastic in tackling any project he set his mind to. The Redtooth Game Show was devised with substantial input from Jeremy over a two day period at his north London home.
We would like to pass on our deepest condolences to his wife, Sue and his family and friends.

 Redtooth at the NUSRedtooth were at the NUS Convention at the Adelphi Hotel in Liverpool on Sunday 16th March. 32 delegates were invited to play in a tournament on the first night of the convention and representatives from universities all around the country battled it out for the trophy. John Valerkon from the University of Essex came out on top and won a pair of tickets to see Liverpool entertain Manchester City in their Premier League clash later this season. Tim Johnson was the runner-up and he won a set of Redtooth poker chips.
Carlsberg are looking to roll out Redtooth Poker events at NUS bars around the country during the course of the year.

 Football ForumsRedtooth hosted a series of football forums in Fuller’s pubs in the south of England
with 1966 World Cup winning hero Martin Peters and Southampton legend Matt Le Tissier. The events were sponsored by Carling and pub customers had the opportunity to have their photograph taken with the Carling Cup. The evenings began with a short football quiz, followed by an entertaining game of ‘True or False’ and culminated in a question and answer session, with the football heroes replying to questions posed by customers.
Elton Mouna, Fuller’s Retail Marketing Manager commented, "Our forum events were a resounding success and superbly organised by Redtooth. It was great to see sporting heroes like Martin and Matt interacting with the regulars from our pubs. We are looking to follow these events up with more later in the year." |

Redtooth Acquires Poker Down The PubRedtooth is delighted to announce the acquisition of Poker Down The Pub.
Redtooth is looking to expand its poker operation in the UK pub market and with the addition of the Poker Down The pub sites, now has over 1,000 pubs participating in the UK's largest and most professionally run pub poker league.

 Football Forum with Peter BeardsleyPeter Beardsley was the special guest at the Redtooth football forum at the New Crown in South Shields on Friday 30th January.
A packed house of Newcastle supporters quizzed Peter on his career and the current situation at their club. Customers also had the opportunity to have photographs taken and ask for autographs.
Alison Charlton, licensee and Sunderland fan commented, "What a great night! Peter was absolutely fantastic, he had time for everybody. It was a really profitable event too."
